Getting started
What is Buunto?
Buunto is a Shopify app that adds a date and time slot picker to your store. It lets your customers choose when they want their order delivered, shipped, or picked up — giving you full control over your fulfillment schedule.
How do I install Buunto on my Shopify store?
Install Buunto directly from the Shopify App Store. Once installed, open the app from your Shopify admin, configure your delivery methods and schedule, then enable the widget on your storefront using the theme editor. No coding required.
Which Shopify plans does Buunto work with?
Buunto works with all Shopify plans — Basic, Shopify, Advanced, and Plus. You get the same great product regardless of which Shopify plan you're on. Our pricing is based on order volume, not your Shopify plan.
How long does setup take?
Most merchants are up and running within 10–15 minutes. Install the app, configure your schedule, and enable the widget in the theme editor. If you need a hand, our support team is happy to help with setup at no extra cost.
Features
What delivery methods does Buunto support?
Buunto supports local delivery, store pickup and shipping. You can configure each method independently with its own schedule, time slots, cut-off times, and preparation times.
Can customers choose a time slot?
Yes. You can define time slots for each delivery method and day of the week. Customers see the available slots when choosing their preferred date and time at checkout.
Can I limit orders per day or per time slot?
Yes. Order limits are available on the Advanced and Unlimited plans. You can set a maximum number of orders per day and per individual time slot to manage capacity and avoid over-booking.
Can I set different schedules for different delivery methods?
Yes. Each delivery method — local delivery, store pickup and shipping — can have its own schedule, time slots, cut-off times, holidays, and blocked days.
Does Buunto support multiple pickup locations?
Yes. On the Starter and Advanced plans, pickup locations are synced from your Shopify settings. With Buunto Locations, available on the Unlimited plan, you can go beyond your Shopify plan's location limit and add as many custom pickup locations as you need — each with its own schedule, time slots, and availability. How does Buunto integrate with the checkout page?
Buunto uses a Delivery Customization Function to synchronize the customer's selection made with Buunto on the product or cart page with the shipping rate options at checkout. See the setup guide for details.
What happens if a date or time slot becomes unavailable during checkout?
Buunto uses a Checkout Validation Shopify Function to verify that the customer's selection is still valid when they complete their purchase. If a date or time slot is no longer available — for example, because it reached the maximum order limit between the time an item was added to the cart and checkout — the customer will be asked to choose a new slot before completing their order. Design and customization
Can I customize the look of the widget?
Yes. Buunto automatically matches your store's typography, and you can set colors using built-in color pickers in the app settings. You can choose between a calendar or dropdown layout, and fine-tune the appearance further with custom CSS.
Where can the widget be placed on my store?
The widget can be placed on the product page, the cart page, or in the drawer cart. You can use automatic placement via the theme editor or position it manually with Shopify's theme app extension blocks.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. The widget is fully responsive and optimized for mobile devices. It adapts to any screen size and works smoothly on phones and tablets.
Is the date picker accessible?
Yes. The date picker is fully usable via screen readers and keyboard navigation, and follows the European Accessibility Act (EAA) recommendations to ensure an inclusive experience for all customers.
Pricing and plans
What happens if I exceed the number of orders included in my plan?
We will give you plenty of notice if you get close to the number of orders in your plan. If you exceed the threshold, the widget will be paused on your store until you upgrade your plan.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. Every store gets 10 free tagged orders per month at no cost — no credit card required. This is perfect for testing the app or for very low-volume stores. When you're ready to grow, plans start at $12.99/month.
Do development stores need to pay?
No. If you are working on a development store for a client, the app is free for as long as you need. Just upgrade when the store goes live.
Integrations
Does Buunto work with route planning apps?
Yes. Buunto integrates with EasyRoutes by Roundtrip for route optimization. If you use a different route planning app, get in touch — we're happy to look into adding support for it.
Does Buunto work with subscription apps?
Yes. Buunto integrates with Appstle Subscriptions and Seal Subscriptions. The customer's first order date is used as a reference — for each recurring order, Buunto automatically selects a valid date that respects your schedule, including holidays, order limits, and availability. If you use a different subscriptions app, get in touch — we're happy to look into adding support for it. See the subscriptions guide for details.
Can I export orders to Google Calendar?
Yes. Buunto can automatically export scheduled orders to Google Calendar, making it easy to see your fulfillment schedule alongside your other events.
Is there a developer API?
Yes. Buunto offers three APIs, all available on all plans: the Headless API for building custom date pickers on headless storefronts or mobile apps, the JavaScript API for programmatically controlling the widget and listening to selection events, and the Order Selection API for retrieving the date and time slot chosen for a given order.
