Your busiest weeks, planned ahead

Everything you sell is baked for a day. Here's how Buunto keeps each order on a day you can make it.

A chocolate yule log decorated with meringue mushrooms and cranberries

Christmas

Everyone wants their order the week before Christmas, and you can only bake so much.

Set a limit for each day. When a day is full, customers pick another.

Halloween cupcakes topped with fondant pumpkins, ghosts and bats

Holiday specials

Halloween cupcakes or Thanksgiving pies are only sold for a day or two.

Give that collection its own dates and cut-off.

A birthday cake covered in sprinkles, with lit candles

Celebration cakes

Someone orders a birthday cake on Thursday night for Friday.

Give cakes three days' notice while bread stays next day.

Freshly baked sourdough, a seeded loaf and croissants

Your weekly bake

You bake for Friday and Saturday, but orders come in for any day.

Customers only see your baking days, and orders close at your cut-off.

Customers choose the day before they add to cart

The Buunto date picker on a bakery product page, with a pickup date and time slot chosen

A date and a time, on the product page

Customers choose their pickup or delivery date, and a time slot if you use them, before they add to cart. No more emails asking when they can come in.

The right notice for each product

A loaf of sourdough can be ready tomorrow. A wedding cake needs a week. Set preparation time and cut-off times for each product or collection, and customers only see dates you can bake for.

Only the days you're open

Pick your baking days, close bank holidays and your time off, and add one-off dates when you need them.

No order without a date

Buunto checks at checkout that a date was chosen, and shows it with the delivery options. It works on every Shopify plan, Basic included.

Never take more than you can bake

A daily limit that matches your ovens

Set the most orders you can take each day, more on a Saturday than a Tuesday if that's how you bake. When a day is full, it closes. On the Advanced plan and up.

A quiet counter, even on Christmas Eve

Limit each pickup slot too, so collections are spread across the morning instead of all arriving at 9.

Extra days for the big weeks

Open an extra pickup day the Sunday before Christmas, or close the day after Easter. Your limits apply to every day you open.

Pickup, local delivery or both

A delivery rider handing a bag of bread and a pastry box to a customer at her front door

Pickup from one shop or several

Customers choose which shop to collect from, and each one can have its own cut-off and preparation times.

Local delivery to the addresses you serve

Offer delivery on the days your rounds run, and only to the addresses you serve.

Shipping for what travels

Let customers choose a shipping date for cookies and brownies, and keep cakes to pickup and local delivery with settings for each product.

Tomorrow's orders, at a glance

Every date and time is saved on the order and shown in a calendar of upcoming orders, so you know what to bake.

The right delivery price for every address

A loaf of bread and a parcel next to a map with delivery zones at $5, $8 and $12

Delivery zones by distance

Set zones by distance from your bakery, just like in Shopify, each with its own price and minimum order: $5 close by, $12 for the furthest.

A price for each postcode area

Charge less for the town centre and more for the villages around it. At checkout, each customer sees one delivery option, at the price for where they live.

Surcharges for the slots that cost you more

Add a little extra for Saturday delivery, the 7am slot or a last-minute order, or charge per item. Customers see the extra cost beside the slot before they choose.

A schedule for each shop

If you deliver from more than one shop, each can have its own days, limits and surcharges, and Buunto picks the nearest one that delivers to your customer. On the Advanced plan and up.

Questions bakers ask us

Is there a Shopify app for bakery pre-orders with a pickup date?
Yes. Buunto adds a date picker to your Shopify product pages, so customers choose a pickup date, a delivery date or a time slot before they add to cart. You decide how much notice each product needs, which days you're open and, on the Advanced plan and up, how many orders each day or slot can take. The date is saved on the order, so you know what to bake and when.
Do I need bakery software instead?
It depends on what you're trying to fix. Bakery management software is built for running production: recipes, costing, batch planning and wholesale orders. Pre-order apps made for home bakers give you a simple order page outside Shopify. If you already sell on Shopify, or want your own branded shop, and your problem is getting each order on a day you can bake it, Buunto is the piece you're missing. It adds pickup and delivery dates, notice times and daily limits to the shop you already have. Plenty of bakeries use both: their bakery software for production, and Shopify with Buunto for online orders.
Can cakes need more notice than bread?
Yes. Set preparation time and cut-off times for each product or collection. Your bread can be ready the next day while celebration cakes need three days' notice, and customers only see the dates that work for what's in their cart.
Can I stop taking orders when I'm fully booked?
Yes, on the Advanced plan and up. Set a limit for each day or each pickup slot. When it's reached, that day or slot can no longer be chosen, so customers pick another.
Can I charge extra for Saturday or early-morning delivery?
Yes, on the Advanced plan and up. Add a surcharge for a weekday, a date, a time slot or a short-notice order, or charge per item. Customers see the extra cost beside the slot before they choose, and it's added to their cart for them.
Can I offer pickup and local delivery?
Yes. Customers choose pickup or delivery, then a date and time that work for that option. You can offer pickup from several shops, and local delivery on the days your rounds run.
How much does it cost?
There's a free plan for up to 10 dated orders a month. Paid plans start at $12.99 a month, and order limits come with the Advanced plan at $19.99. Every paid plan has a 14-day free trial. See pricing.
